HoopSource “Portland Rise” (Portland, OR – July 11–13, 2025)
Organizer: HoopSource Basketball
Dates: July 11–13, 2025
Location: Portland, Oregon (metro-area gyms)hoopsourcebasketball.com
NCAA Certification: Yes – NCAA Certified Viewing Event. HoopSource is an NCAA-certified event operator hosting this tournament during the first July live period. Division I coaches are allowed to attend.
College Coach Attendance: Moderate to high. This is a newer West Coast circuit event for 2025, aiming to attract teams from across the region. As an NCAA live-period tournament in the Pacific Northwest, expect regional D-I programs (Pac-12, WCC, Big Sky, etc.) and numerous D-II/D-III coaches scouting elite 15U–17U teams. HoopSource emphasizes that teams will face a “wide variety of programs from multiple regions”, and uses top facilities and officials to create a high-level exposure environment.
The GTE Live: Finals – SoCal July 17–20, 2025, at Cerritos College in Norwalk, California
Event Overview
- Organizer: Game Time Events USA
- Game Guarantee: 4 games
- Venue: Cerritos College, 11110 Alondra Blvd, Norwalk, CA 90650
- NCAA Certification: Certified
- College Coach Attendance: Expected
This tournament is strategically timed during the second NCAA live period, making it an excellent opportunity for exposure to college coaches. Given its location in Southern California and NCAA certification, it’s anticipated to attract a significant number of college scouts.
Bigfoot Hoops – Las Vegas Classic (Las Vegas, NV – July 24–27, 2025)
Organizer: Bigfoot Hoops
Dates: July 24–27, 2025
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada (games at multiple gyms, including local high schools and possibly convention center)
NCAA Certification: Not NCAA Certified (takes place after the official D-I live periods). This end-of-July tournament is a major “season finale” event for club teams but occurs during the NCAA Division I dead period (no D-I evaluation allowed). No NCAA certification is indicated on the event info. D-II, D-III, NAIA, and JuCo coaches can attend, and historically many do.
College Coach Attendance: Historically high (especially prior to NCAA calendar changes). The Las Vegas Classic has been run for 23 years and is known as the place where teams end their summer season. In 2019, over 900 teams (including most of the nation’s top programs) participated. Many teams play the Las Vegas Live event then stay to play in the Classic. While Division I coaches can’t recruit at this non-certified event in 2025, it still draws significant scouting attention and lower-division college coaches, given its scale and talent level.
