Built for serious athletes who want development + exposure with a structured plan. This is a TRAVEL PROGRAM and will require travel out of state. Practices held in the Sacramento/Rocklin, CA area. Open to athletes across California and neighboring states (Nevada, Oregon).

Local Competitive Program — Open Tryouts (boys & girls)
For athletes looking for consistent reps, coaching, and local competition. Practices normally held in Mountain House, CA. Other locations include; Tracy, CA & Manteca, CA.

When are Basketball Tryouts?
Ares Basketball holds tryouts in both spring and winter for our year-round season, split into two sessions. Stay updated on tryout schedules by signing up for notifications and following our social media channels. Mid-season tryouts may occur based on team needs and structures.
Where are Basketball Tryouts Held?
Ares Basketball is based in Tracy, CA, with tryouts taking place in Tracy, Mountain House, and neighboring communities. Locations may vary based on gym or park availability.
What do Basketball Tryouts Consist Of?
Our experienced coaches assess players through a series of drills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, etc. After the tryout, expect a follow-up from an Ares coach or staff member to discuss the next steps based on your performance and skill level.

Who Can Attend Tryouts?
Tryouts welcome boys and girls in grades 4th–12th, depending on coaches’ availability and the season. Basketball/sports experience is required due to the competitive nature of our teams.
Why Attend Basketball Tryouts?
Even if you don’t make the team immediately, attending tryouts provides valuable insights into your athlete’s progress. Our growing program will continue to offer future opportunities. Signing up for updates also grants access to our workout sessions.
